How To Get a Vaulting Pole
To get a vaulting pole you will need to have Blathers on your Island. Without Blathers you will not be able to get the recipe to make this tool. If you do have him on your Island, then all you need to do is speak to Blathers. He will give you two recipes and one will be for a vaulting pole.
How To Make A Vaulting Pole
You will be able to craft your own vaulting pole once you've obtained the recipe. You will need the following materials:
- 5 x softwood
Softwood can be found by chopping down trees with an axe. You can then craft this tool at any workbench in the game.

What Is a Vaulting Pole?
A vaulting pole is a useful tool that you can obtain early in your game. When you first reach your Island there will be no bridges for you to cross Rivers and this is where the vaulting pole comes in. This tool will allow you to cross Rivers on your Island with ease.
This tool is special for another reason and it's that it will not break like the other tools. The rest of the tools in the game will wear down after being used and eventually break, but the vaulting pole will not. This means that you should only need to make it once.
